1. She realizes her "friend" Heather was using her and decided to cut her off knowing it would be better for her.
2. As she cleans up the yard and cleans out the leaves out of the bushes, her father realizes she still cares for her home and volunteers to help, she's starting to turn her life around and realizes that she needs to nurture herself. (Same thing happens when she asks her mother if she could redecorate her room)
3. She tells her old friend Rachel what Andy Evan did to her, even though it did not turn out well she gains confidence from speaking up about what happened to her. Later, Rachel confronts Andy about it and he gets mad at Melinda.
