(picture in replies) Which goal of the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States is illustrated by this cartoon? A)Provide for the common defense b)Ensure domestic tranquility c)Establish justice d)Form a more perfect union
Well, what are they doing in the picture?
I havent a clue, im so freaking confused i dont understand at all
Ok so in the pictures the are putting up columns (fancy word for poles) that hold up the roof or the structure. The roof is labeled The US and the columns are named states- So basically is is saying that states support the Nation. Which answer choice makes the most sense? Which one means that the US is being supported by states?
Think about togetherness, they're putting the states together which is forming a what
is it D
yesyes
im just so confused sorry
I disagree
@smokeybrown
Ok so simply put- the answer should be A- the states are providing for the common defense- which would be the US. Supporting it.
D seems more correct because after some states are like pushed aside or like left the union or whatever, they're put back together, because American is the UNITED states so togetherness.... they're forming a more perfect union T^T
BUT IT SHOWS NOTHING ABOUT PERFECTNESSSSS
They are equally spread, it's very formal. I'll stick with D.)
They are all together, which forms a union.
I'll cast my vote for D as well, although I could understand the interpretation that boredfr took. The way I see it, the image is depicting the formation of a union, since the figures in the picture are in the process of putting the states together under a single roof (the constitution)
So the reason it’s D. Is because the image is specifically referring to the US Constitution. It wouldn’t make sense to provide a common defense for the constitution.
