Adams apple is related to how deep a male's voice is - I have one, I can see it protrude from the outside of my throat if I tilt my head up.

females also have them but they arent nearly as large. you can swallow while gently placing your hand on your neck (dont make this weird) you should be able to feel it, they arent as large as a male's and thats why females have a higher pitched voice.
