SpeccyAlt:

Why is a worm able to regenerate after being cut in half?

Alexis1415:

do you have any guess?

SpeccyAlt:

Maybe their cells replicate fast?

Alexis1415:

yes part of it c:

Alexis1415:

so let me explain. if a worm was cut in half and some of the anterior was still intact it can regenerate

Alexis1415:

but since the worm is so small the anterior has to be long enough to support the worms growth.

SpeccyAlt:

So it has to have enough of something inside of it to do that process?

Alexis1415:

correct c: because it is so small it has to have the anterior to be able to regenerate.
