Could someone explain this?
Highest specific heat capacity is how LONG it can stay at a high temperature for, so what do you think the answer is?
I don't know
I guess it's Substance A but I need to know the reason
Look closer, it would be substance C because substance C can maintain it’s temperature for longer than the rest of them can.
but it's mentioned on this website that the correct answer is Substance A
Ohhhh, okay I see what was different, the graphs aren’t labeled, so A would be correct yeah.
Reason being that the blue line (heat capacity) increases unlike the others which either decrease or stay the same.
But even Substance C is increasing
"Could someone explain this?" cooling takes longer for substances with higher specific heat. we can see that the x axis represents the time -- so basically which one of them lays the most on the x axis.
They are all taking the same time
they are not -- graph c takes more time than graph a, b or even d does but there is something going on with c though the top temperature is 0 can you see that
Yeah but I found out that the correct answer is A on internet without explanation https://quizlet.com/293828117/calorimetry-lab-flash-cards/
On the web, this doesn’t mean that the graphs are the `exact` same.
no its the same
that doesnt even match the question -- what are you saying pus, can we have a better screenshot? its not possible that max heat there is 0 why is it blurred?
The max heat is 100\(^\circ\)C , but you are right with the fact that we can’t see the final temperatures because of the blurred out sections.
It is exactly the same as my question I'll take a better screenshot
Better now?
That’s better, notice that the final temperature is higher than the rest, so your answer would be A.
much more so if its asing gor which one of them has got the highest specific heat capac. then its C for the only reason that it takes more time, as you can obviously see there in the graph
Final temperature, Flor.
bro, final temp is 25 for both can you see?
So, the reason is because Substance A is having higher temperature, higher temperture = higher specififc heat capacity right?
Final temp for C is 22.78 Flor....
no it's 22
oh its written down i didnt notice lol
So can you rewrite the reason, and thanks for the help!
yeah yeah its A -- nice onelol why would they write it like there at the bottom where you cannot see :\
Frrrr
No, that's totally fine at least we found the answer and reason
Higher temperture = higher specific heat capacity right? and that is the reason?
Yeah.
ok, just for clarification here it is FULLY explained
