Im pretty sure you just have to substitute x for 8.6 and then do the equation. It should look like this:
f(8.6) = (8.6) - 5

This mean that you will round up to the nearest whole number no matter your decimal value as long as there is a decimal.

For example, the ceiling function of 3.3 will be = 4
