jalvarez62:

Jovante decides to start a business by making buttons and selling them for 25 cents each. The button machine costs $125 and the materials for each button cost 10 cents. Write an income, I, that represents the income in dollars generated by selling n buttons. a. I(n) = .10n c. I(n) = .10n + .25 b. I(n) = .25n d. I(n) = .10n + 125

vybez:

what do u think it is?

ItzAgar:

I believe if you use elimination that could help.

ItzAgar:

So, which choice would you want to eliminate?

SmokeyBrown:

The question says the buttons sell for 0.25, and it costs 0.10 to make them. If that is true, then Jovante should make 0.15 for each button he sells. The equation would look like I(n)=0.15n -125 To account for the initial cost of the machine. It doesn’t seem like any of the options written here reflect that answer. How strange. A typo somewhere, maybe?

Vocaloid:

The question is very badly worded but it's possibly asking for the gross income (income before expenses)
