Have you ever lived in a cabin with old food and a wood stove and no wood and you have no water but some greywater and in the middle of winter, most of all alone with no one just one little girl. Or so he thought, well this boy Nate did and these are the reasons why I think he is a leader(Story The light Jar by Lisa Thompson). Nate is a leader because he is brave, smart, and above all, kind.

The first reason Nate is a leader is because he is kind. I know Nate is kind because he helped kitty with the hunt for Charlotte's treasure. Another example of his kindness is he felt sad after hearing her story about her auntie and was willing to help, so he did whatever he could to help out. He told Kitty, “yea I will help you”(The Light Jar By Lisa Thompson)
The second reason Nate is a leader is because he is smart. This is shown by how he solved all the clues. when the clue was “I’m a thousand years old, yet still strong as led” and it was the yew tree (The Light Jar by Lisa Thompson). The second clue is to think of an H then unlock the door to a cold frozen place, so when he searched all across the house even where his mom slept, and found a map that led them both to the ice house.
The third reason that Nate is a leader is because he is brave. He went into the ice house even though he felt as if it was a bad idea and he is also brave because he conquered his fear and went in there with a dim flashlight and when the light went out he still kept going just to help kitty and here is a quote fromThe Light

( My theory I think Kitty was Charlotte’s imaginary friend because Charlotte died and Jack Nate’s imaginary friend said that some can’t move on so Kitty could not move on until she found Charlotte’s treasure so she had been searching for 50 years because the health inspector at the end of the story said no one has lived in this house for over 50 years and after Kitty and Nate found it she could move on so that’s why Nate could not find her at all )
