ItzAgar:

What is a mutation? I don´t really understand.

smurkio:

is almost like an adaptation kinda, but its the changing of an animals appearance, like radiation can cause a mutation of an animal

ItzAgar:

Can you explain it a little more?

smurkio:

Yes

smurkio:

okay so basically a mutation is just a physical change of an organism, like a caterpillar mutates into a butterfly

smurkio:

sum like that

ItzAgar:

Ok.

ItzAgar:

Does anyone else have any more information?

Vocaloid:

I'll try to elaborate upon the previous discussion. An organism's DNA is constantly replicating as the organism grows. Mutations come about when there are unexpected errors in DNA replication. Mutations can lead to unexpected changes in an organism's characteristics (ex: albinism is a mutation in which an organism lacks pigment, and thus appears white) Mutations don't inherently have to be bad (they can be beneficial, or just neutral.) I'll drop a reference so you can more about it: https://www.biologyonline.com/dictionary/mutation

ItzAgar:

Thank you guys!
