I'm pretty sure that Emerson and Thoreau wrote about Nature, but I'm not sure if Cole or Durand did, so I can't say for sure that it's a common theme among all of them I think Irish and British immigrants were both looking to escape oppressive class systems by moving to America. For the Irish, famine was probably a factor, but I'm not sure if the same was true for the British. And I can't think of what "civil unrest" could mean, though I guess it depends on the time period? I'm not sure about Revivalism, maybe Baptism? I've heard of Prudence Crandall, she made a school specifically for girls of color.

For the map question, I guess Wisconsin does not have an escape route directly passing through it? There could be some reason I'm missing. For the matching question: labor unions advocate for the rights of workers; suffrage is the ability to vote; abolitionists are people who wish to end slavery; emancipation is the act of being freed from slavery; temperance movement fought against the excessive use of alcohol; assimilate means to join together, a smaller part joining together with a larger entity; emigrate is to move out of a country; immigrate is to move into a country
