KiWiPoP1:

ok so first lets define what ethos, pathos, and logos are. Ethos is convincing others based on credibility, for example lets say you see an add for a plumber, you'd believe him because what he says, he seems credible, you're not gonna have any other person

KiWiPoP1:

Pathos is using people's emotions to get them on your side, let's say like when you see animal abuse ads on tv, they make it a sad tone to get you to feel an emotion, and make you support them

KiWiPoP1:

Logos uses persuasive arguments which use actual evidence to prove whatever the cause is, such as writing an essay for school, you need evidence to prove your point

KiWiPoP1:

so finally onto question 1, it said that a politician is using 'facts and figures to defend why she voted for a certain bill", she's using facts, and one of those use facts, since I can't give a direct answer, look over my definitions and see which one of these uses facts

KiWiPoP1:

And now for the 2nd question, the politician uses the support they have gathered to build their credibility, now I used that word in one of the definitions, and still, I can't give a direct answer, so look over the definitions to see which one fits

KiWiPoP1:

But either way, you can rule out Pathos since none of these questions tie into emotions
