Identify and describe one key leader of the Civil rights Movement. Use the following guidelines for what you should include. Who? What? Where? When? Why? How?

KiWiPoP1:

Sojourner Truth, who was once a slave, spoke out against racism through abolition, she delivered her first speech in Akron, Ohio called "Aint I a women". This speech was spoken on May 29, 1851 in which she spoke out against women rights and a women's rights convention. (I hope this helps, idk if this completely helps)

SmokeyBrown:

It is true that the fight against slavery was a fundamental step towards the fight for civil rights, but I think the question may be referring specifically to the American Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s, which occurred long after slavery was abolished. If my assumption is correct, then this article, which lists "7 Important And Influential Leaders Of The 1960s American Civil Rights Movement" might be helpful. Note that I'm sharing this article as a way for you to get ideas and as a starting point, but you should not plagiarize your answer directly from the article. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/7-important-and-influential-leaders-of-the-1960s-american-civil-rights-movement/ar-BB16PMNQ
