Of Mice and Men and The Absolutely True Diary Of A Part-Time Indian have a comparable similarity in the two novels. There are lots of themes you can pull out of both novels, but one that can be compared is companionship. In both books there are two main characters that are best friends. In P.T.I. there is Junior and Rowdy, and in O.M.M. there is Lennie and George. These two friendships are alike in a lot of ways, but also have some different things about their relationships too.
