City P has a temperature of -4. City Q has a temperature of -8. Part A: Write an inequality to compare the temperatures of the two cities. Part B: Explain what the inequality means in relation to the positions of these numbers on the number line. Part C: Use the number line to explain which city is warmer. The number line is -8 to 8
plz help
wow 3rd time... as you might know, the closer the negative number is to 0, the bigger it is ok so for a), just compare the two -- you will have to do this based on the number line, so i would recommend doing c first. but anyway, the answer would be \(−4<−8\) b) let x be the accepted value, which is true in that particular equation -- x is going to be \(−4<x<−8\) c) image attached
thank you so much
-4>x>-8 or -8<x<-4
wait but i did do it ` > ` :\ -- this website keeps glitching or is it just me?
you have written -4<-8
i think the website is glitching
I know what you meant
so yes, for b it is \( −4>x>−8 \)
ok thank you
