victoriag:

Triangle GHI is similar to triangle JKL. If angle H measures 60 degrees and angle L measures 25 degrees, what is the measure of angle J?

KyanTheDoodle:

There's no illustration so I'm going to assume each letter point of the triangle corresponds with one another in order. If H measures 60 degrees, then K will also measure 60 degrees. All angles in a triangle add up to 180 degrees. Try subtracting the known angles, 60 degrees and 25 degrees, from 180.

victoriag:

can you help with this?

KyanTheDoodle:

So you see the lines on each angle are being used to denote which angle corresponds with which. The ratio b:q is two lines on each triangle that are the same, so you need to find another line on each triangle that correspond with one another.

snowflake0531:

As a hint, these are the corresponding sides, (picture below) --- the ones with the same amount of lines on the sides are proportional - so just look at the choices then at the picture, and find which pair that matches up
