Think of it this way. You want to find out which amount of choco chips you put in will give you the most dino chocolates. (Don't ask how we are getting chocolates from negative choco chips.) You want to find the least number of choco chips you can put in before it stops creating chocolates.

So, the first term in a coordinate is the x. Think of the inequality signs as crocodiles that want to eat the bigger thing. so, in x<0 then the croc is trying to eat the 0 since x is less than 0. For example.
