D4nniii:

i need help with how to understand pi for math

Mercury:

On a very basic level, pi is the result of dividing a circle’s circumference by it’s diameter. It’s an irrational number, which means it’s a decimal that goes on forever without a repeated pattern. It can be abbreviated to 3.14 in decimal form. Is there anything else you’d like to know about it?

D4nniii:

so i could do 3.14 divided 4?

Mercury:

Pi is a number, so yes, you can multiply, divide, add, subtract, etc. using pi as necessary
