This is quite similar to the last one. Variables can be given coefficients which is what you do when you multiply 8 times k

no

HighIQReptilian:

Aka: 8*-4 and 8*k

SmokeyBrown:

For this one you would use "distribution" to multiply the expression outside of the parentheses with the expressions inside the parentheses. So, you could take 8(-4 + k) and turn it into 8*(-4) + 8*k to get your answer, since 8 is multiplied by everything inside the parentheses. Distributive property of multiplication

Tonycoolkid21:

k

HighIQReptilian:

This is multiplication and since you do not know the variable it does not add.

Tonycoolkid21:

:( i failed

HighIQReptilian:

Sorry to hear that. The best way to take advantage of a fail is look at what you got wrong and figure out why.

Tonycoolkid21:

k
