Plastic pollution has become a problem, how is plastic created and how does it harm the environment?

MrMudd183:

It all depends, plastic I believe is made out of a lot of materials...depending on what it will be used for. But 90% of all plastic is non-biodegradable...meaning that it is not able to break down naturally over time in nature, due to the materials it is made out of...which is one reason why landfills are being becoming more and more full and overused, due to these non-biodegradable plastics being thrown into these landfills. Plastics should be recycled to help cut back on this and to help save the environment.

Spectrum:

so in other words it goes into the environment and stays forever?

MrMudd183:

Yep, only if it's made of biodegradable material...but that's not common in a lot of today's plastic objects

Spectrum:

Ok, well thank you again Mudd lol. :3
