A patient suffers damage to the epidermal layer (epidermis) of his skin. Identify at least TWO precautionary measures he would have to take to protect himself. Explain in detail why these precautions are necessary given the layer of skin involved.
Do you have an Idea of what the answer could possibly be?
No I don't
Okay well, didn't you learn about it?
I did but I don't know how to exactly explain it. The skin is the most confusing for me . Nerves and muscle are easiest for me.
Oh
Well, would they have to or not have to keep the infected area clean?
That was my first response. However my teacher said it doesn't cover the context with our human anatomy and physiology course. "If a person has damaged the epidermal layer of skin then the damaged layer must be cleaned as soon as possible to prevent the epidermal skin from further infection. Antibiotic cream must be applied on the wound to continue the process of wound healing as infection can slow down the process of healing. The cut area must be covered with bandage to prevent from action of harmful micorganisms."
Well, all the patients should clean the infected area up and Replace bandages to aid in keeping bacteria out of the affected area.
That is most likely your answer.
OKay , thank you !
