Hello, and welcome to QuestionCove! According to the terms and conditions of the site, only users aged 13 and above can use the website. Would it be too much of a stretch to assume you're a 13 year old in 4th grade? Or maybe that was a simple typo...? That being said, I'm happy to take a look at your math and give some input.

ali1214:

I am 12 years old and need help in math

ali1214:

And I am in grade 5

ali1214:

not 4

SmokeyBrown:

The numbers that involve dividing by 10 or some multiple of 10 are pretty simple. In that case, you simply move the decimal place to the left, by the same number of spaces as there are 0s in the denominator. For example, 15/10 would be equal to 1.5, since you move the decimal point one space to the left, from 15.0 to 1.5. In the same way, 15/100 would be 0.15. Using this method, you should be able to solve a good handful of the problems.

I'll pretend that's another typo, and you meant "13". (There's legal reasons behind it that I don't understand. Something about COPPA, Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) Anyway, for the other problems, they seem to involve dividing or adding numbers that are also multiples of 10, which is just an extra step. So, you can do like you did before, divide by 10 or 100 or whatever, and then multiply or divide by another number. For example, dividing by 5 is the same as dividing by 10 and then multiplying by 2. And dividing by 20 is the same as dividing by 10 and then dividing by 2.

thanks I got it now

SmokeyBrown:

Perfect. Glad to help!
