While that's the concept in a nutshell and you're on the right path... are you sure that your units are correct? Land measurements has to be in square units. You can't have 6.7 inches of land but you can have 6.7 square inches of land. Land isn't a piece of string. You can't have 345 feet of land. But you can have a plot of land that's 345 square feet. You might just want to look into the units for your measurements once more
