5x^3+6x^2-4

Ineedhelponmymath:

I forgot the question

Ineedhelponmymath:

Ill post it here

Ineedhelponmymath:

Name the polynomial and label its parts

SmokeyBrown:

Ok, it looks like the largest exponent in this polynomial is 3, from 5x^3, so I think that makes this a cubic polynomial I'm not sure exactly how to label the parts, but I suppose you have the coefficients, the variables, the exponents, and a constant. You could also maybe label the expressions as "cubic" and "quadratic" according to their exponents, but I don't think that's necessary.

Ineedhelponmymath:

Would it be named trinomial?

SmokeyBrown:

It could also be "trinomial" and "binomial", yes, I think that's also accurate

Ineedhelponmymath:

Thank you!

SmokeyBrown:

No problem!
