Hamiltonislife:

can someone help me with this?I never understood this concept of math. Take -4 + 3a2 from 7a - a2

Hamiltonislife:

I will have to ask mt teacher because I don't trust my self with a caluator

Vocaloid:

Take -4 + 3a2 from 7a - a2 this means we subtrac 7a - a^2 - (-4 + 3a^2) distributing the negative sign in front of the parentheses 7a - a^2 + 4 - 3a^2 from there, combine like terms (your a^2 terms are your only like terms, so simply subtract -a^2 - 3a^2) it doesn't explicitly say to write it in standard form, but it would be a good idea (write the a^2 term first, then the a term, then the constant)
