help
i have 0 idea have to do this, help?
I think the chart is based on your opinions/thoughts after watching the video As for the problems: Writing Expressions, problem 1) "per" in mathematics is a good sign you'll be using multiplication. (ex: $3 dollars per gallon ---> multiply gallons by 3 to get the total cost) the problem states that bowling costs $25 per game. we can define a variable (I'll use "b" for bowling) as b = # of games, then the total cost is 25*b, or just 25b. 25b is your expression to represent the total cost of b games.
Problem 2) similar logic. I would personally use "t" to represent games of laser tag. (lower case l can look like a 1 or an i). try to follow the same logic as problem 1) except with 35 as your cost per game.
Problem 3) one game of laser tag costs 35. we already have an expression from problem 1) to represent the cost of some unknown # of bowling games. (25b) add them. (note: these are not like terms, so you cannot combine them. your answer shoud be in the form __ + __)
problem 4) one game of bowling costs $25. we already have an expression from problem 2 to represent the cost of some unknown # of laser tag games. repeat the logic from problem 3)
Problem 5) using the expression from problem 3), calculate the cost of one game of laser tag + 5 games of bowling. since b = # of bowling games, plug in b = 5. See if the total is more, or less, than the total amount of money they have, and say whether the group can afford the games or not.
Problem 6) repeat the logic from problem 5. use the expression from part 4. it wants 1 game of bowling and 5 games of laser tag, so let t = 5 and calculate.
Problem 7) This is based on your opinion. Personally, in the interest of fairness I'd try to spend roughly equal amounts on both groups and try to make up the difference with snacks or drinks or something.
