HumzaAli:

How will two even functions or two odd functions, or a mixture of the two combine? Will the result be even, odd, or neither? Complete the following table.

QueenMidnight16:

an even number plus an even number will be an even number and an odd number plus an odd number will be an even number

QueenMidnight16:

an odd plus an even i think will be odd

HumzaAli:

i dont get it

QueenMidnight16:

alright then lets take an example 68 and 68 are both even numbers. add them together and they are 136, still an even number. remember, even numbers are numbers that can be divided into two. odd numbers cant

Please keep in mind the original question is referring to even and odd *functions* not even and odd numbers. @HumzaAli do you have a copy of the table?

IceClaws3309:

i think it can sometimes be an even number if you do odd plus even

No table? That’s weird But here’s a list of properties for odd/even functions The addition of two even functions produces an even function. The addition of two odd functions produces an odd function. The subtraction of two even functions is even. The subtraction of two odd functions is a function. The addition/ difference of even and odd is neither even nor odd, except for the cases where one function is zero. The product of two even functions is even. The multiplication of two odd functions will turn out to be an even function. The multiplication of two even functions will turn out to be an odd function. The division of two even functions is even. The division of two odd functions is an even function. The product/division of an even and odd function is an odd function. Reference: https://www.vedantu.com/maths/even-and-odd-functions
