The question is asking you to compare the speeds of the two races. In order to calculate speed, take the distance traveled and divide it by the time it took to travel that distance. For instance, the first race would have a speed of 100 meters/ 9.75 seconds, or about 10.26 meters per second. The second race, by comparison has a speed of 200 meters/19.5 seconds... You may calculate what this speed is in meters per second and see for yourself how it compares to the speed of the first race.
