How did the Industrial Revolution have a positive effect on U.S. history?

SmokeyBrown:

Although it is not universally accepted that the Industrial Revolution was completely "good", the increased manufacturing capabilities that resulted from the Industrial Revolution did enable the United States (and other countries) to rapidly grow and expand their economies. On average, the quality of life of Americans was able to improve due to easy access to inexpensively produced commercial goods, which one could argue was a "positive effect on U.S. history".
