Light exists in the physical world, and it carries photons, though we can't hold either; light is also a symbol of pure or holy things, so you can say it is worshipped, and it has certainly been studied in a scientific sense. I'd give the same reasons for the Sun, only the reason you can't hold it is because it is too big, too far, and too hot; also, it "carries" light and heat, which cannot be held.... although you can "behold" them B)
