provide one example of how Roger Williams's views were similar to the other Puritans of the Massachusetts Bay Colony and one way in which they were different.

SmokeyBrown:

Hi, and welcome to QuestionCove! The first part of answering this question would be to understand what Roger Williams's views were. That will allow us to compare and contrast his views from those of other Puritans, as the question mentions. Luckily for us, it seems that Roger Williams's views have been well-documented, so it should be easy for us to read about it and form an understanding: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Williams#Legacy In the above section in particular, it seems that Williams held somewhat unorthodox views towards Native Americans; apparently he defended the peoples in his writings. Also, even though he was a Puritan minister, he was also critical of some aspects of the Puritan religion and community, comparing it to the Anglican church they denounced. It seems that, while Williams was a Puritan, he still held some beliefs that the average Puritan of his time may not have.

SmokeyBrown:

I should not have to say it, but please do not copy-and-paste my response to use as your own work; that would undoubtedly be plagiarism, which is not allowed :)
