reminder: for addition/subtraction, look at which number has the least # of decimal places 1st problem: 1.40 has 2 decimal places ---> round the answer to 2 decimal places 2nd problem looks good 3rd problem: 8.8 has 1 decimal place ---> round to 1 decimal place
1.4 and 8?
when you're rounding, round the *answer* not the numbers inside the problem 4.927 - 1.40 = 3.527 ---> round to 2 decimal places ---> 3.53 same logic w/ problem 3
1.40 and 8.8?
like I said, only round *** at the end *** problem 3 is 8.8 + 0.97 do **not** round 8.8 or 0.97. add 8.8 + 0.97, and ***then** round.
9.8?
yes good
3.0?
3.0?
I solved problem 1 above 4.927 - 1.40 = 3.527 ---> round to 2 decimal places ---> 3.53 your original answer for problem 2 was correct we solved problem 3 ---> 9.8
Like I said, I solved problem 1 and I got 3.53 as the solution Your original answer for problem 2 was correct (3.3)
