Then you want to divide both sides by -6
when you have a negative you flip the signs so it would be like this
4x-10>14
then you add 10 on both sides

then divide by 4 on each sides
which is x>6 because 24/4 equal 6
Then we would have to find the other absolute value inequality
That would be 4x-10<-14

you always flip the sign and make the number negative or positive if not one or the other
anyway you would add 10 to both sides
leaving 4x<-4
Divide both sides by 4
