TETSXPREME:

Ok first we need to know what is the angle for just one octagon

redhoodie:

ok

TETSXPREME:

why direct answer?

Serenity1jacksonsl:

thats the direct

Serenity1jacksonsl:

oop sorry

redhoodie:

i would like to know how you received that

Serenity1jacksonsl:

I just used a piece of paper wrote it down took a snap shot and posted it

TETSXPREME:

Ok so what is the angle for just one side of the octagon?

Serenity1jacksonsl:

An octagon contains six triangles, or 1080 degrees. This means with 8 angles, each angle is 135 degrees.

TETSXPREME:

i was asking the person who posted the question but right

Serenity1jacksonsl:

lol sorry

TETSXPREME:

And each angle has a 360 rotation so you must divide 360 by how much angles there are in the octagon

redhoodie:

ok what I did was 180(8-2) which is 180*6 whch is 1080 then I divided by 6 to get an answer of 180

Serenity1jacksonsl:

yep thats how i got mine so you on the right track

redhoodie:

well not 360 I think its 180 since were talking about a regular octagon so we must incorporate the interior angle formula. Correct me if I am wrong.

redhoodie:

Which is 180(n-2)

TETSXPREME:

Yeah

redhoodie:

so I am a little confused when it comes to finding the answer because now am I supposed to divide 180 by answer choices and see which one is divisible by the other?

redhoodie:

any ideas?

TETSXPREME:

ok so once you just find the first answer just multiply it by 2 and then 3 and 4 and just keep doing that until you have majority of them, The ones you dont have isnt the answer

redhoodie:

ok

TETSXPREME:

lmk what you get

TETSXPREME:

Hoped i helped :)
