I think as I groggily get up from the sand and see the shards of wood from our ship and a few dead bodies. How did they not see the rocks? As I look up and see my friend rocky and maria. I hurry over and see rocky standing over maria. I wince as I see a big gash on her arm. “it's my fault” rocky says, “I saw the rocks and tried to warn the captain, but I wasn’t fast enough and now everyone else is dead and were stranded in the middle of nowhere and now maria might die.” he says as he buries his head in his hands. “Rocky its ok it's not your fault we hit those rocks it was foggy and dark and who knows maybe some people survived. Right now, we need to help maria and build a shelter.” “your right lily we can’t just sit here and feel sorry for ourselves we need to survive.” Rocky starts building a shelter while I bandage Marias wounds. I start thinking about what the said when we hit the rocks, “women and kids get to the lifeboats first!” screams the captain but then he shoved off on a lifeboat by himself. He is a selfish jerk leaving those people to die if I saw him again, I swear I am going to... I suddenly get ripped out of my thoughts by rocky yelling that he finished the tent I look over and see a palm from tent. Rocky helps me carry maria over. When we sit down my stomach starts growling hungry for even a scrap of food. Who knows how long we were knocked out on the beach for? I look at Rocky and he looks at me. “time to put our survival skills to the test.” Rocky says while sighing. We gather dry brush and start making a pit for a fire, we then make a rain catcher so we can get some water. Rocky sets up snarer traps so we can hope fully to catch some birds or whatever other animals are on this island.
