Gucchi:

Solve 4x − 2(x + 1) = 3x + 10 x = −12 x = 12 x = −8 x = 8

Gucchi:

Am I right with A? or is it D?

Gucchi:

@carmelle

Florisalreadytaken:

first of all multiply \(2\) with whats inside the parenthesis: \(4x-2x-2=3x+10\) then, add the characters who include \(`x`\) together: \( 2x-2=3x+10 \) take the two to the other side: \( 2x=3x+12 \) take the \(`-3`\) to the other side: \(-x=12\); change the sign and you get \( \boxed{ x=-12 } \)

Gucchi:

Thats a great explanation, thank you
