If humans breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon, why don't we suffocate in carbon?

Okay, So when we exhale the carbon dioxide which was originally oxygen, in a short little explanation is basically diffuses into the lower layers of the atmosphere and is absorbed by plants which helps the photosynthesis process, so basically it helps make glucose for the plants. Sorry, Not a very good explanation but..
