Why is comedy such a good genre?

comedy is a good genre because it pulls in the viewer and makes them wanna stay more - along with horror movies and romance some people just like to laugh - which is what comedy is all about - when it comes to horror movies its because people like jump scares and when it comes to romance its because people like love and maybe get an idea of what kinda of love they want - at least these are MY motives to watch movies
