Polls can be held in chats. Chats is where users go to conversate and speak upon such topics, and the Ask a Question section subjects are clearly needed for their academic purpose. The only exceptions are posts that express creativity, and polls aren't included in that category.

If you wish to hold polls, simply do so in the chats. Poll posts in the Ask a Question section are and will be deleted as spam.
