Zo:

Can someone explain to me how an "exponent" works?

P1n3appl31:

An exponent, which you will find at the top of a number or letter, will determine how many times the number that is carrying the exponent will be multiplied by it's own. For example, you have 2 with an exponent of 6 so you will multiply 2 by itself 6 times and have your answer.
