itsmeka:

lolokrat:

yes ive got a few regarding elimination/sub

itsmeka:

Alright im still looking to see where the mess up is at ! :)

itsmeka:

where did you get the positive 12

itsmeka:

nvm

itsmeka:

oh

lolokrat:

hi @vocaloid

Vocaloid:

Your solution *is* right for y, this problem just happens to have awkward fraction solutions

lolokrat:

so the final sol is 102/23?

lolokrat:

it seems wonky

Vocaloid:

y = 102/23 but you also gotta go back and solve for x If you are ever in doubt you can always plug your x and y back into the original equations to see if they’re true

lolokrat:

ohh ok 1 sec

lolokrat:

wait was my x correct?

Vocaloid:

The equation x = -4 + (2/3)y is correct, just gotta plug in your y (it’ll be another ugly fraction unfortunately)

lolokrat:

so x=-24/23?

lolokrat:

bc x=-4+2/3(102/23)=-24/23

Vocaloid:

Yeah that’s what I got too

lolokrat:

ok i plugged it in, it looks all good
