How were the religious beliefs of Louisiana’s historic Indians impacted by cultural diffusion? They were made up of many major and minor gods who constantly competed for power. They were based on the idea that spirits inhabited all things in the world and required people’s respect. They were based on the divinity of their tribe’s chief who was considered to be descended from heaven. They were based on the idea of one all-powerful god that created the world and all in it.
