The range is the set of y-values. What are they? Look at the table and list the values. Repeats are considered as same.
Start by identifying the domain of a function. In most cases, x will be an element of the set of real numbers, and there may or may not be restrictions on the domain. For instance, no denominator can equal zero, and square roots should not be negative. If there are no restrictions on the domain, then use the limits as x approaches positive and negative infinity. These limits are the y coordinates as x approaches these limits. If the first derivative of the function equals zero, there is either a maximum or a minimum value as well as a saddle point (a point of inflection with no slope). You can then compare the Y coordinates of the critical values to the Y coordinates of the end points to identify the highest and lowest values within your domain.
o so its B?
You have y-values of 4, 4, 2 and 5. The set would be {2,4,5}.
