Politely disagree with the previous responses. The ratio is 1 part sugar: 4 cups water Therefore, to go from sugar to water, you need to *multiply* by 4, not divide.

lorena123:

34 divided by 4 is 8.5 and 34 multiplied 4 is 136

Vocaloid:

just a sec - can you look at the original problem? is is 34 or 3/4?

lorena123:

3/4

Vocaloid:

ah, yes, then you'd multiply (3/4) * 4

thank u :)

Vocaloid:

yup, so (3/4) * 4 = ? major hint: the 4 in the denominator and the 4 to the right side cancel out

lorena123:

answer is 3

Vocaloid:
