the ratio of the sides is 2 : 9 : 4 let's multiply each by x to get 2x : 9x : 4x. the ratio is still true (this simplifies back down to 2:9:4 if you divide x) now, if we add: 2x + 9x + 4x = 180 (the sum of angles in a triangle) you can solve for x once you solve for x, calculate 2x, 4x, and 9x to get your angles

mdobbs6856:

X=12 So, all I do now is 2(12)= 9(12)= 4(12)= And I'll have my angles?

Vocaloid:

yup

TYSM! I was checked out during math today and didn't understand the work she sent us. Do you think you can help me with one more thing?

cross multiply (x-3)(9) = 12*18

mdobbs6856:

I got 1:32

mdobbs6856:

And it says it's wrong

Vocaloid:

hm? when you solve for x, you should only get one number

Vocaloid:

review cross-multiplying when you get a chance (x-3)(9) = 12*18 distributing 9x - 27 = 216 adding 27 to both sides 9x = 243 dividing both sides by 9 x = 27

OHHHHH. Thx
