I don't think it could be A cuz of the fact that they used the army for such things

Couldn't be B considering the fact that they gained land BY making profit from taxing and work done by enslaved people

D...wouldn't be D due to the fact that they bought slaves to make profit by tax-ing slaves and making them work for them

qcb mentioned that it would be wrong in other areas such as India and Ireland-

but the point is that the question was asking abt the colonies, in this case, slaves were bought to make profit by getting taxed as well as working in plantations,etc

slaves were bought to work for people, to work in plantations, to get taxed, and to make profits out of them

Think of it in GENERAL- like- if you went into to it specifically, this question would be a statistical question you could say, it could have more than answer refering to a place or area
