Yes, A is correct. The government took records of slaves when they arrived and were ready to be sold to others for whom they work for, as I've said before, slaves were mAiNlY bought for getting taxed, working in plantations, or working for others. Paintings aren't as accurate considering the fact that they are painted according to what a person might or already knows. Writing about the life of an enslaved person doesnt give the accurate number of slaves. Stories passed down are are stories as it is
