ok so there was a group of men who wanted to kill lincoln because he wanted to free the slaves they were mad because they wanted the slaves so that they could work for them and without them they would have to do the work themselves

and out of that group was a man named John Wilkes Booth he was and actor and now a murderer because he killed lincoln when lincoln went to a play John Wilkes Booth came up behind him and shot him in the head
