nope

ScaryPerson:

u dont know anything?

Lucaskash3r:

im better at tables then doing them off shapes

ScaryPerson:

ok. i can work with this

ScaryPerson:

SO to find the scale factor what we do is we make a ratio of on the lengths of the 2 corresponding sides

Lucaskash3r:

6 at the top area 9 on the left??

ScaryPerson:

hmmm walk me thru how u got that

ScaryPerson:

it says the area is 5

Lucaskash3r:

im talking abt q i just counted sides im really slow i might have a c butim not good

ScaryPerson:

So whatever he did to the first polygon, that would be the same as this one

ScaryPerson:

dw everyone isn't always good at these things. You will get better

Lucaskash3r:

okk uhh if its scaled from p and p is 5 then would q be 10 or 2.5

ScaryPerson:

it means that if the area of the first polygon is 5, and polygon Q is a copy of P, then the area would also be 5

ScaryPerson:

And yes!

Lucaskash3r:

so they are both 5..?

ScaryPerson:

The area is

ScaryPerson:

so think.

ScaryPerson:

it should be doubled im pretty sure

Lucaskash3r:

ohhh ok ok is that the answer or just part of it? |dw:1633105466298:dw|

ScaryPerson:

one sec

ScaryPerson:

ok

ScaryPerson:

im thinking

ScaryPerson:

ok so the scale factor would be 1/2

ScaryPerson:

so you would do 5*9=45

ScaryPerson:

and since the scale factor was copyed, it would be 3

Lucaskash3r:

WHERE DID THE 9 COME FROM??

ScaryPerson:

hold on

Lucaskash3r:

caps sorry

ScaryPerson:

OK so the area of pollygon Q is 45. so the area would have to be 9. Which to get that it would 5*9=45

Lucaskash3r:

ohhh ok ok

ScaryPerson:

uh huh

ScaryPerson:

you got it?

Lucaskash3r:

yes

ScaryPerson:

ok
