arithmetic sum = (n/2)(a1 + an) where n is the number of terms a1 is the first term an is the last term because you have k = 1 to k = 5, evaluate the term 2k - 11 at k = 1 and k = 5 to get your first and last terms. because there are five terms, n = 5. plug in to the sum formula and evluate.
