Chickentender37:

im so lost ;-; Working together, Ted and Daniel can sweep a porch in 6.24 minutes. Had he done it alone it would have taken Daniel 13 minutes. Find how long it would take Ted to do it alone.

Hananko:

what?

mylesnewman:

if it's like that then my best guess is to subtract 6.24 from 13 and then multiply that number by 2. idk

Chickentender37:

that wasnt right :(

mylesnewman:

i'm sorry it was just my best guess

Chickentender37:

it okay ty for trying

NemoEmo:

could've subtracted 6.24 from 13

NemoEmo:

I think

Vocaloid:

Daniel alone can do the job in 13 minutes, which means he does 1/13 of the job per minute Together, they take 6.24 minutes, which means together they do 1/6.24 of the job per minute Using this same logic, if Ted takes (x) minutes, then he does 1/x of the job per minute adding Daniel + Ted's work, you get 1/x + 1/13. you can set this equal to the total work per minute, 1/6.24. solve for x.
